The largest near colorless lab grown diamond in existence has landed in Austin, Texas. This 15.32-carat stunner was recently acquired by The Diamond Room, and is available for purchase in our Austin location.

The stone is rated G in color which translates to “nearly colorless.” It is extremely rare to find a diamond of this size with such a high color rating – which is one of the benefits of lab-grown diamonds.

“We are excited to welcome in this triumphant feat of engineering and science to our showroom,” says Matt O’Desky, CEO of The Diamond Room. “This stone is definitely a showstopper, and after months of waiting for our chance, we are excited to bring the largest lab grown diamond to Austin Texas.”

The diamond was recently featured in a story by Austin’s KXAN news station. As part of this segment, Matt described the lab-grown diamond process and why he brought this masterpiece to Austin. View the entire segment here.

Matt O'Desky

I grew up in Chicago where we always had a “Diamond District” – an area of town with a slew of buildings filled with dozens of private jewelry wholesalers and upstairs diamond dealers.

When I moved to Texas, and realized there were few if any private jewelers, and I knew what I should do: Deliver a far more personalized experience, in a far more relaxed and enjoyable environment than any department store jeweler could possibly offer.

And show my clients obviously better diamonds at clearly better prices.
