Do I need to have a design in mind before my appointment?

Not at all. While inspiration photos are welcome, they aren’t required. We often start the process by exploring our loose gemstone collection to see what speaks to you. From there, our designers will guide you through settings, metals, and styles to build a custom piece that perfectly suits your taste and budget.

Can you source a specific rare or exotic gemstone for me?

Absolutely. If we don’t have your dream stone in our current “dazzling display,” we will find it. We have a global network of ethical sources and can hunt down specific origins (like Colombian Emeralds), unique cuts, or rare colors. We will bring a curated selection to our Austin or Dallas offices for you to view in person.

How does the custom design process work?

It starts with the stone. Once you’ve hand-selected your gem, we sketch concepts and create a 3D CAD rendering of your design. This allows you to see every angle of the piece digitally before it is cast. After your approval, our master jewelers bring the vision to life, ensuring superior craftsmanship at every step.

Are your gemstones certified?

Yes. We prioritize education and transparency. The majority of our significant gemstones are accompanied by reports from reputable gemological laboratories (such as GIA). During your private session, we will walk you through the grading report so you understand the specific qualities—and value—of the stone you are purchasing.

Is custom jewelry more expensive than pre-made pieces?

Not necessarily. Because we are private jewelers without the high overhead of traditional retail storefronts, we can often offer better value for higher-quality stones. We work within your specific budget to maximize the size and quality of your gemstone while creating a one-of-a-kind setting.

Can I use a gemstone I already own?

We love breathing new life into family treasures. If you have an heirloom stone, we can assess its condition and work with you to “reset” it into a modern design. This is a wonderful way to honor the sentimental value of a piece while making it wearable for today.
